Conditions Evaluated

I see children and adolescents who have known or suspected neurodevelopmental and acquired neurological conditions:

Neurodevelopmental Disorders such as:
Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Learning Disabilities (e.g. Dyslexia)
Language Disorders
Autism Spectrum Disorders
General Developmental Delays
Intellectual Impairment
Genetic Disorders (e.g. Fragile X, Down’s Syndrome)
Tourette’s Disorder

Acquired Neurological Disorders such as:
Epilepsy
Traumatic Brain Injury
Brain Tumors
Cerebral Vascular Accidents
Peri-natal Complications (e.g. Cerebral Palsy)

Many of the children I see have co-occurring anxiety, mood and other psychiatric disorders. Many times the interview and assessment process can help to understand the ‘chicken and egg’ questions about the etiology of these symptoms.
